We spoke to William Chalaby from Switzerland about his wonderful experience in Australia and at Lexis Brisbane. William started with us in early December and has been studying part-time in our Upper Intermediate class. He was an active and lively member of the class and was a very chatty part of our campus- he always seemed to be making friends with someone new!
What was wonderful to see with William was the way he made the most of his Australian experience- he made great connections with his homestay family, studied hard and achieved terrific results with his school, and still found plenty of time to be social and go on all kinds of adventures around Brisbane!
William also found a job, with the help of our lovely Student Support Officer Irina, working in Max Brenner’s cafe- a dream come true for a Swiss guy! He certainly made the most of his work there- although he maybe did overdo it on the chocolate and seems to have developed an pretty severe addiction!
It was such a pleasure having William around the school and we will miss him, but we’re glad he had a great time here at Lexis Brisbane, and we can’t wait to see photos of all of his travels- he’s starting in Tasmania, but with these students, who knows what exciting adventures lie ahead? Safe and fun travels, William 🙂
