Lexis Brisbane hosted a wonderful International Food Day yesterday, giving student the opportunity to try foods for all around the world!
The event was a marvelous success, with students bringing in wonderful foods like Taiwanese coconut pie, Italian meatballs, Colombian arepas, Korean spicy rice, Spanish “arroz con leche”, Russian salad, Chilean caramel slice and Vietnamese spring rolls.
So many wonderful foods to try! Walking through the kitchen the students could be heard explaining their dishes and talking about the culture in their country- how people share tea in he South of Brazil or how coconut pie is served in Taiwan. It was a brilliant way for the students to share their experience and their culture, and a delicious treat!
Thanks to Kay-cee and her terrific cooking class who cooked tacos, chocolate balls and brigaderos. And thank you to all the brilliant cooks who brought.delicious foods to our great event :).
