It looks like a rainy Friday and Saturday this weekend, with Sunday looking a little bit sunnier at least, but here’s a few suggestions of rainy day activities to still see awesome parts of Brisbane in the rain!
For those of who you speak Spanish, for those of you who love Spanish cinema or those of you who would like to improve your English by reading subtitles, the Spanish Film Festival is going on for the next few weeks and a rainy day Spanish movie would be perfect! Check out times and movies here.
The whole weekend Southbank is celebrating Buddha’s Birthday! Check out dragon boat races, wonderful foods, tea ceremonies, and lion dancing- and on Sunday afternoon come watch the fireworks! More details here.
West End is a wonderfully quirky area filled with all kinds of strange shops and great restaurants- and it’s right near Southbank! Check out the markets on Saturday for the Gypsy/folk/ vintage stuff for sale! More details here.
Or, interested in a different type of market with some history? The Boggo Road markets are right next to an old jail- and you can take a tour of the jail as well! Click here for more details.
Have fun on this rainy weekend, everybody! Stay safe and dry 🙂
