With the slightly shorter month of February done and dusted, we now welcome the month of March. Along with February, we also say goodbye to those wonderful Summer nights and greet the cool of Autumn with open arms. Luckily for us in Brisbane though, it is warm all year! 😀
We have plenty more planned for you this month, so take a look below or grab a copy of the calendar from either Reception and Student Support desks!
As with previous months, we will be running our workshops on Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Head on over to room 3 on these days to check them out. The first Wednesday (2/3) of the month, we’ll be heading over to the museum/GOMA (Gallery of Modern Art) to admire some beautiful artworks and learn all about science! Be sure to sign up at reception if you’re interested. Friday (4/3) is the return of Yoga with Sarah! Teacher Sarah is back from her holidays abroad, and is ready to bring in the weekend with some relaxing yoga. Spaces are limited to the first 14 people, so be sure to sign up at reception to secure your spot.
Sign up for this Wednesday’s (9/3) activity if you would like to learn about one of the oldest buildings in Brisbane – the City Hall. There will be a free tour of the clock tour and the town hall after Option Class. Friday (11/3) afternoon, come and join us for the next Cafe Conversation Club. Enjoy some nice coffee at our local cafe and practice your English skills in the real world. If you guess the correct coloured card at the coffee shop, your drink will be free! 🙂 So what’re you waiting for?!
The ever-so-popular soccer in the park is back this Wednesday (16/3)! Chuck on your training shoes, gather your team mates and get ready for the soccer season! Your choice of Roma Street Park or the Brisbane Botanic Gardens. The following Friday (18/3), we will be having a Welcome Afternoon Tea for all our new Cambridge students! Join your teachers and your new friends for an afternoon getting to know each other and enjoy some yummy treats. Tim-Tams may be making an appearance! 🙂 For those who aren’t enrolled in Cambridge, do not fear! Yoga will be available for you to enjoy as well.
This month sees our most popular activity make it’s return – it’s Lone Pine Time this Wednesday (23/3)!!! 😀 Be sure to sign up nice and early at the beginning of this week to secure your spot. Please also bring along your money to pay for your entry ticket. Tickets are $19.20 each and MUST be paid no later than Tuesday at 3pm. Thursday (24/3) we will have the Lexis Easter Egg hunt! Create small teams with your friends to go on the ultimate hunt for the Easter Egg prize! You’ll be given clues along the way which teams must answer in order to proceed to the next clue. Sign up at reception by Wednesday 3pm! Please be aware that Friday (25/3) is the Easter Good Friday holiday, so there will be NO school today and Monday (28/3). Enjoy the long weekend, and fill up on plenty of chocolate eggs! 🙂 Happy Easter!
Remember that there is no class due to the Easter Monday holiday this Monday (28/3), so enjoy your day off! 🙂 Wednesday (30/3) this week, the Lexis Photography Club with Tara is back! Sign up at reception! The last day of this month on Friday (1/4), will be something new! Join us for the first time as we head on over to Laser Force in Wooloongabba.
