Spring time is here!! We can finally wave goodbye to those Winter Blues!! We’ve got plenty more planned for you this month, so take a look below and save those dates.
* Please note: GIL is in Room 5 (2:00pm session) and Room 2 (4:30pm session).
** All workshops are in Room 3, every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, starting at 2pm. You do not need to sign up for these – just show up! 🙂

To start off the first week of September, we have our Grammar Workshop on Monday (5/9). Learn all about the “2nd Conditional”. Don’t forget that every Tuesday of the month is our Jobs Workshop day. Head on over to Room 3 at 2pm to get help with all things jobs related! The first Lexis outing this Wednesday (7/9), we will be catching the CityCat ferry to the beautiful University of Queensland. Be sure to sign up at Reception, and bring your GoCard. Thursday (8/9) this week is our Idioms Workshop expressing “Happiness & Sadness”. You’ll feel ‘on top of the world’ after going to this workshop! 🙂 As this week is also the first week for our new Cambridge intake, we will be having an Afternoon Tea on Friday (9/9). Join your new Cambridge teachers and friends in the kitchen from 1:30pm! To finish off the week, we’ll also be heading to the Botanic Gardens for our Games in the Park afternoon. Play some soccer with your friends or throw around a frisbee.
In our Grammar Workshop this Monday (12/9) you’ll be “Comparing Passives”. Wednesday (14/9) this week sees our most popular activity make its return – it’s Lone Pine time!! 😀 Tickets are only $19, (usually $24), which includes endless kangaroo and koala cuddles, (Koala photos cost extra. Pay inside the park). Be sure to sign up and pay at reception early, because spaces are limited. Our Pronunciation Workshop this Thursday (15/9) focuses on “Intonation”. Feel the rhythm! To bring in the weekend this Friday (16/9) afternoon, we’ll be heading downstairs to Merlo for our Cafe Conversation Club. Come on down to practice your speaking skills and get to know your classmates. You might even have the chance to win a FREE coffee with their ‘flip to win’ competition. Sign up at reception.
Following after Week 1’s Grammar Workshop, this Monday (19/9) will be focused on the “3rd Conditional”. After option class on Wednesday (21/9) this week, we’ll be once again heading over to the Botanic Gardens to play a friendly game of soccer! Get your team mates together for a fun-filled afternoon of football! On Thursday (22/9), we have out Phrasal Verbs Workshop. This week’s topic is about “Food & Drink”. Lastly on Friday (23/9), back by popular demand is our Bowling at Strike afternoon! Games are $14 each. Sign up at Reception, and we’ll walk over to the Wintergarden together after Option Class! 🙂
The last Monday (26/9) of the month’s Grammar Workshop is all about the “Present Perfect Passive” tense. Wednesday (28/9), sign up with me (Tara) for our Photography Club afternoon. Let’s capture the beauty of Brisbane through the lens! If you don’t have a camera, you can still capture some nice photos on your phones! 🙂 This Thursday (29/9) the Drama Workshop makes a return. Come along to practice your English skills through improvisation and drama games. A lot of fun and laughs to be had – don’t be shy! To wrap up the week and the month of September, Friday (30/9)’s Cafe Conversation Club is back. Remember to sign up at Reception!
