The full moon returns this evening, so keeping with tradition, the Full Moon Fire Festival is back for another night of entertainment. Head on down to West End this Sunday night for free entertainment and live fire twirling performances starting at 6pm and finishing around 10pm. Take a blanket, some snacks and enjoy the best of the West End culture. Follow their Facebook and website for updates and upcoming events.

This weekend is your last chance to see Swan Lake performed by the Queensland Ballet company! This classic masterpiece is only here until Saturday, so be quick in securing your tickets before it’s too late!! Tickets start from $60 and can be bought on the website here.

Here’s one for those of you who love a challenging challenge!! ROC (or Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge) 5k race is back for its 7th year this Saturday at the Brisbane Showgrounds. Tickets can still be purchased online, or a very limited amount can be purchased at the door.  This year’s ROC race will see the infamous Wrecking Balls, the Sweeper, the brand new Leap of Faith attraction, and an epic finish line slide down a 4 story tall water slide called The Hippo! Spectators can watch on for free from the sidelines, so why not make it a fun-filled day with your mates? 🙂 Check out the official website for FAQ’s, information and pricing.

This Sunday is Mother’s Day in Australia. Is it the same day in your country? 🙂 We know being away from home can be tough, so make sure to give your mothers a call this weekend! ❤ As it is Mother’s Day weekend, there are several events around Brisbane, including a free Movie in the Park event! Head on over to Roma Street Parklands this Sunday from 5pm to sit in on 2 free girly movies! There will be food trucks serving all the food, so all you need to bring is a blanket, some pillows and yourselves!

Hands up if you’re a 90’s baby!! 🙋 🙋 There will be a 90’s Music Video Party this Saturday night from 7pm at the New Globe Theatre in Fortitude Valley. Enjoy all those classic hits from artists like Aqua and the Spice Girls while enjoying some deliciously prepared cocktail goodies. Check out the official Facebook event here.

There’s also a special K-Pop event making its debut this weekend in Kangaroo Point. Local Korean pop groups will be performing live, there will be Korean beauty and cosmetic companies with information stalls and there will even be guest stars such as the season 5 winner of KPOP Stars Crystal Yi joining in as well! Head on over to the Queensland Multicultural Centre from 4:30pm. Tickets range from $20 – $25 and can be purchased at the event! Read on for more information.

That’s all for now, folks! Weather wise, it’s looking to be mostly fine up until Sunday afternoon, so go out and make the most of our beautiful sunny Winter days! 😀
