Jan Powers Market. Every Saturday between 6 am and 12 pm at the Brisbane Powerhouse Plaza find the freshest Queensland produce including flowers, farm vegetables and fruits, breads, jams, pastries, plants, meat and fish. Markets are the great way to support local produce and start your weekend. Especially in such beautiful weather. (Free Entry)
Sunday, 19th August:
Japanese Cultural Day. Enjoy the food and culture of Japan in our beautiful Botanic Gardens.The event will feature activities such as Mochitsuki rice cake making, tea ceremony, calligraphy, Ikebana flower arranging as well as traditional singing and Bonsai demonstrations from the Bimer Bonsai and QLD Bonsai societies.(Free Entry)
