TEACHER’S BIO

  • WHAT LANGUAGES DO YOU SPEAK?

I speak French, English, Portuguese and Spanish.

  • I ALWAYS WANTED TO BE…?

I always wanted to be a teacher.

  • WHEN YOU ARE IN BRISBANE, DON’T MISS OUT….

When you are in Brisbane, don’t miss out on the live bands playing in so many bars and restaurants around the city. They are amazing.

  • BRISBANE BEST KEPT SECRET IS…

Brisbane’s best kept secret is: the beautiful hiking trails in the suburbs surrounding Brisbane and Govindas, a delicious vegetarian restaurant (with vegan options too).

  • I’LL BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW…

I bet you didn’t know I have travelled to more than 20 countries and I paraded 6 times in Rio’s Carnival.

  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING TO DO?

My favourite thing to do is partner dancing and performing choreographies with my dance team: I dance Zouk, Gafieira, Forro, Bolero, Samba no Pé, Salsa, Tango, Bachata, Merengue, and West Coast Swing.

  • HAVE YOU EVER LIVED IN ANOTHER COUNTRY?

I spent the first 31 years of my life in France and I moved to Australia 7 years ago. Also, I lived in Manhattan, NYC, for 5 months 11 years ago.

  • WHAT IS YOUR DREAM HOLIDAY DESTINATION?

My dream holiday destination is Brazil: I have been there 4 times and it’s definitely one of my favourite countries. I should be going again next year. Also, I have never been to Egypt and I would love to see the Sphinx and Pyramids one day.

  • WHY DID YOU BECOME A TEACHER?

I became an English teacher because I love English and want to share my Love for languages. Also, I love people and I have always liked helping others.  Seeing students using a new language and progress is just amazing and I am glad I can help them reach their goals. I honestly think I have one of the best jobs in the world.

  • WHAT IS YOUR ENGLISH LEARNING TIP?

My English learning tip is to LIVE English and try to work on all your skills outside the classroom: watch series/movies in English, listen to music while reading the lyrics and sing along, read a few pages of a book, and write a diary. Above all, try to speak English as much as possible: preferably with friends who don’t speak your language so you have to speak English all the time. And repeat every day 😊
