The Tour de Brisbane is designed to bring the community together on two wheels to share some of the city’s iconic landmarks. The unique, closed road, inner city course will be offered over four distances and attract participants of all abilities from all over Australia, Asia and Europe.

Festival Parade of Light

A vibrant array of roving entertainers, giant lanterns, magical floats, marching bands and lively characters will take to the streets in the annual Festival Parade of Light themed “Our Backyard”.

The celebration, music and fun reaches along Brisbane Street with best viewing from Waghorn to Bell Streets.

Brisbane’s Biggest Workout

Anytime Fitness owners are coming together to host Brisbane’s Biggest Workout at Captain Burke Park on Saturday 13 April. The fitness initiative aims to raise much-needed awareness and funds for suicide prevention charity, R U OK?.

The bootcamp-style workout, run by Anytime Fitness owners and trainers, is for all fitness levels and encourages the local community (members and non-members) to get together for a good cause and open the conversation around mental health.

Songkran Thai New Year

Brisbane City Council is hosting Songkran Thai New Year in Chinatown Mall on Saturday 13 April. Songkran is Thailand’s most famous festival on the Buddhist calendar and marks the beginning of the traditional Thai New Year.

There will be a variety of South East Asian inspired performances including bathing of the Buddha image, traditional music, dances, workshops, roving acts, along with market stalls.
