Capital Letters



Capital letters are often confused by students, but there are simple rules that we can use to make sure we limit our errors. 



Do not used for articles (a, an, the) or prepositions (of, on, for, in, to, with, etc.).


name and titles of people, you need to capitalise the first letter of a person’s first, middle and last names.Titles are simple for example ; Mr., Mrs. or Dr

names of mountain ranges, hills and volcanoes

names of bodies of water such as rivers and seas

street names such as Queen Street

names of Schools and universities such as Lexis English and Harvard

books’ titles and movies such as Moby Dick or Frozen

The first letter of a sentence 


If you can memorize these rules you will be able to use capital perfectly.
