On Song at Green Jam | Friday 12 July

Following a state-wide search, six aspiring singer-songwriters aged 12 to 18 will take to Green Jam stage at QPAC to perform their original songs. These selected musicians will also participate in a one-on-one mentorship with award-winning Australian singer-songwriter Jack Carty, to develop their skills as songwriters and performers. Yarning and poetry with Aunty Theresa Creed | Saturday 13 July

Born on Woorabinda Aboriginal Mission and an elder of the Pitta Pitta and Kalkadoon nations of North West Queensland, Theresa is a performance poet and draws on her long history as a dancer, actor and singer and her ancient culture of ceremony. Theresa’s poetry tells her story and the history of her family, from the undisturbed times to war and invasion, the Aboriginal mission and reserve system, the land rights movement and life today.
