The Position:

Initially you will receive the tools and training in a wide variety of areas for the position of Shift Manager. Once the training is complete, some of your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Staff management: assisting the store manager in directing, training, rostering and organising a team of 10+ staff
  • Product knowledge: continuously educating and training staff on coffee, and product knowledge
  • Customer service: ensuring customer focused service is maintained by all staff by upholding Merlo’s core values
  • Financial management: performing day to day cash management, stock management, purchasing and profitability management of site, managing wage percentages and sales targets
  • Store Management: maintaining the presentation and daily running of the store to the highest standard, including food safety and OH&S

Physical Duties:
A Food and Beverage attendant is required to perform the following physical duties:

  • Regular twisting and bending
  • Lifting/moving furniture such as chairs and tables weighing up to 20 kg
