– Three words that sound exactly the same, but have an entirely different meanings!
Students often use these incorrectly! These simple hints will help you out! 😎
- Two is quite clear. We use it to represent a number (2)
Two cute dogs.
- ‘To’ denotes an action. – To do something
I will go to the bank.
- ‘Too’ has a couple of meanings:
Too = Also
I want to play too. = I also want to play.
Too = more than what we want/need. ***And it is always used in a negative way.
It is too heavy.
SO – We do not use with a positive adjective as it will be wrong!👎
