Confused Words

Two/To/Too 

Three words that sound exactly the same, but have an entirely different meanings!

Students often use these incorrectly! These simple hints will help you out! 😎

  • Two is quite clear. We use it to represent a number (2)

Two cute dogs.

  • Todenotes an action.  –  To do something 

I will go to the bank.

to do

  • Toohas a couple of meanings:

Too Also 

I want to play too.  = I also want to play.

play

Too more than what we want/need.  ***And  it is always used in a negative way.

It is too heavy.

SO – We do not use with a positive adjective as it will be wrong!👎
