Join the “Out & About” class starting on the 1st of December!

With the “Out & About” class, it is a different look at learning English from General English. After you learn a skill, you then get the chance to go out into the city and use those skills in certain environments, giving you more confidence in speaking English!

For more information, have a talk to Mariana.

Belly Dancing!

Patricia from the Business English class held a Belly Dancing class and demonstration as part of our afternoon extra-curricular program.

Patricia has been Belly Dancing for 8 years now and decided to share her skills with the other students. Thanks Patricia!

North Stradbroke Island trip for the FCE class!

Accompanied by Vivienne, 7 students had the opportunity to visit North Stradbroke Island for their FCE Retreat.

After a long journey on a train, ferry and bus, the students finally reached their destination of Point Lookout. Here they got to see some amazing views before moving to the main beach for some fun and swimming. On the menu for lunch was Fish and Chips at the local store before heading back to Brisbane at around 4:00pm.

A good time was had by all!

Well Done Oscar!

Oscar from Colombia came to GV with absolutely NO English, but he now going for IELTS target 6!

Oscar started at our Noosa campus in June 2005. When he arrived, he couldn’t even say hello. After 7 months of General English, he decided to transfer to the Brisbane campus and completed some more General English, EAP and IELTS.

When he completed his time here in September 2006, he went on to complete a Diploma of Business at a college in the city. His goal is to now gain Permanent Residency and work in his field of Environmental Engineering.

So now he is back! He has joined our IELTS program again, but this time he is aiming for his target of 6.

Good Luck Oscar!
